An In Depth Look Into Becoming A Leed Green Associate

Becoming a LEED green associate will be beneficial for an individual in several ways. First of all, a resume will go from being common and possibly dull, to a glowing list of qualifications colored by unique experience. The unique experience will be the LEED experience. Learning about LEED assists the individual’s career path as well as the environment. Eco friendly people strongly recommend learning about LEED as it teaches people ways to design, develop, build and construct architecture in an environmentally friendly way. This is of great importance in the building industry as manufacturing contributes to a large proportion of pollution being sent into the ozone. Becoming a LEED green associate can be achieved by studying and taking an exam. The exam is 100 questions and runs for 2 hours. In order to gain eligibility to sit the exam, the individual must have completed some sort of work experience on a LEED building project. The exam focuses mainly on various types of LEED rating systems, terminology and other core concepts in terms of building sustainability. Individuals sitting the exam have to score at least 170 out of 200 to pass, and gain the recognition of calling himself or herself a LEED green associate.
